The results from this test are confusing to me.
Specifically the "Will it work?" results. Will it work for what? For capturing video from camera or for editing?
I do not capture directly to HDD. I just need to know if my disks are capable of using effectively with Final Cut Pro X.

Blackmagic Design Disk Speed Test is a beautiful and fun to use application that measures the read and write performance of storage media in video frame sizes. The use of video frame sizes provide accurate measurement of how the disk storage will perform with video related applications.
Can you tell us the type of "discs" you are using?
Regards the Black Magic Test app:
Last time I used it, it relayed info indicating my drive would not run PAL DV.
In the real world this drive (firewire 800) will capture and edit AVCHD which requires more heavy lifting than DV.
