How do I delete the "other" stuff on my ipod?

I only have 2 apps and 70 songs on this iPod and I am out of storage!! When I check the storage, it says "other" is where all my storage is being stolen from. Please help!

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1

An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
