II had itunes on my desktop. Itunes got erased so now i want to put itunes on my laptop but when I plug Classic IPOD into laptop itunes tells me that it will erase all my music if I put itunes on my laptop? HELP How do I do this?
What I did was I installed itunes, copied the music to my desktop, and put that into itunes. And then synced it.

Thank you. But I cannot open ITunes on my old computer. It all got erased. So when I tryto open Itunes on my laptop with my IPOD plugged in it states that it will erase my music.
You plug in your ipod, transfer the music to the desktop (you can look it up becuase I forgot how to.. ^^'), then you unplug your ipod, open itunes, go to the thing in the top corner, "show menu bar", on that go to "file", "add file to library", add the music you copied to your computer, save the files somewhere important just in case, plug in your ipod which erases everything, all your music is is the library already so you can just sync it. The End.

With an iPod Classic you can recover all the media using the method in the iLounge article listed near the bottom. You only need third party tools if you also want to try recover information not stored in tags such as ratings, play counts and playlists.
