BazookaJoe117, are you able to open show movie inspector in QT to determine what codecs are being used in the .mov? My guess is the .mov may have been created on a Mac using DivX? Which is not supported with QT for Windows. That's one of the symptoms with trying to play a DivX with QT for Windows. You'll get audio but no video.

As already suggested by Jacumba your symptoms point to a lack of required codec in your system.
Take a look at below post to find out the commonly used codecs in QT that would allow you to play the files without any issue.
