I installed MacKeeper how do i uninstall it?

Hi,

I got a pop up saying I needed to install MacKeeper as my Mac needed cleaning. I downloaded it but did not finish the process of activating it from my download folder as I thought I had better see if it is legitimate. I deleted the Mackeeper from the download folder. Does this uninstall MacKeeper or is there another step I need to take?
