After upgrading to iOS 6.1 on my iPad Mini and iPad 3 I am not able to access previously downloaded Magazine subscriptions on Newsstand when WiFi is off - simply shows magazine name and jumps back to Newsstand main display - no problems with newspapers

After upgrading to iOS 6.1 for my iPad Mini and iPad 3, I cannot access previously downloaded magazine subscriptions like New Yorker when WiFi is off. When I click on a magazine when WiFi is off or unavailable a screen appears with the magazine name and then it jumps back to the prior main newsstand display. No problems with newspaper subscriptions - only magazines. Tried power on/off and Settings/Reset many times but problem persists. Please help.

I called The New Yorker (I think it was Fri the 8th or Saturday the 9th) about this same issue.

I was told there was an issue with the 6.1 update where the Adobe software (which produces all the CondeNaste mags) causes a "loop" in iOS when not connected to the internet. Supposedly they will have the problem fixed in a couple of days.

Meanwhile quite annoying if you have only a wifi iPad.
