My iPhone5 when fully discharged refuses to start charging (is dead)

I let the iPhone5 (only 1 month old) fully discarge.

When I plugged it to the wall-socket (via the adaptor) it indicated that it started charging.

A few minutes later it stopped and there is nothing on the screen.

I looks dead. Tried diffent cables and A/C adaptor (from iPhone3 / iPad) and also USB

port of diffent Mac (MacBook and HP laptop) to no avail...

Any ideas?

Well,

waited 2 hours, plugged it again (both wall-adaptor & misc. Laptop USB port) NOTHING... dead..

Then went to the nearby Germanos site where

they suggested sending it back for service.

As a last resort they plugged the iPhone5 to NON-APPLE, Non-Certified dual conductor USB cable with LEDs

along the two conductors... (flashy) and it resurected itself @#()&$*(@&# ....

Price for the cable : 40 euros = 52 US$ !!!!!

What does this dual cable have more than the APPLE-Certified ... ??? lower resistance? or what....

-10 for Apple.

Trying to find this cable on-line now...
