I can’t get the Command + 1, 2, 4 etc keyboard shortcuts to work for Mail Favorites. I have tried adding fn to the combination with no luck. I have Palua which allow me to switch between Apple Mode and Function Mode and it makes no difference.
I’m working with a MacBook Pro and 10.8.2.

The first thing you need to do is uninstall Palua to determine if that is the cause. If it isn't then reinstall. If it is, talk to the developer to get a version that doesn't interfere with the system.
Thanks. I tried that without any luck. Interestingly, other Mail shortcuts seem to work find, like for Send and Reply.
Does the Mailbox menu flash when you use the shortcuts?
Can you select the favorite by using the Menus (Mailbox>Go to Favorite Mailbox>)?
Figured it out. I was getting bad advice from an article I was reading that says the key combination to use is Cmd + Shift + 1, etc. Your last question prompted me to look more closely at what was said when I selected the Favorites folders from the menu and I see that the combination is simply, Cmd + 1, 2 etc.
