When I try launch diskwarrior it says com.alsoft.diskwarrioir.prefs is correupted. However I cannot find that in file in my folder. Any ideas? Where should I be looking?

First, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD on the sidebar and repair permissions.
If it doesn't work, that file is stored on /Library/Preferences. First, open Finder, select Go menu > Go to Folder, and type /Library/Preferences. Then, delete that file and open DiskWarrior.

I reoaired permissions, checked Library/Preferences file but to no avail I cannot find a pref file for alsoft.
The only file I find for alsoft is com.alsoft.diskwarrior.savedState
Now it will not let me delete Diskwarrior in the utilities folder. It says its open. Cannot find it open using mission control. Where is it open?
Try restarting and doing it. Make sure that you untick "Reopen windows when logging back in" when you are going to restart the computer
