Feb 9, 2013 9:06 AM in response to 554500by blackdogaudio,Sounds like you or your Mac have triggered Internet Recovery which connects to the Apple servers without user intervention:

You may inadvertantly hit the option key when using a command + R to access OSX Utility during the reboot. Try again being careful to not "fat finger" and touch the options key. Once OSX Utility is up and running the network utility is avalaible in the upper right hand corner of your screen to get online.

Feb 10, 2013 11:40 AM in response to blackdogaudioby 554500,thanks a lot but my problem is not solved yet since after command + R ,on the screen still shows a small grey earth ( moving around ) and the option of choosing a network .i choose my network but no luck after that .what should i do to go to the next step ? i would like to mention that in order to access my network i need to enter static ip address since i have a router .do you have any idea how can ia do this at this stage ?
