Q: cant get to serial number

my ipod is locked out and says connect to itunes... and disabled..

iPod touch, iOS 6.1

    Try starting iTunes on your computer, then connect the USB end of the cable, and then while holding the home button on the iPod connect the dock connector end of the cable.  That will put you in recovery mode and iTunes should see the iPod and let you proceed to restore from backup.
