Has anybody tried making a DVD of a FCP7 sequence with FCP6 Compressor and DVD Studio Pro? If you know that it doesn't work could you please let me know, before I waste a lot of time on a tight deadline high pressure delivery?

Why would you need FCP 6 in your scenrio? Just export a self-contained movie from FCP 6 and use that in Compressor then on to DVD Studio Pro.

I cut the sequence in FCP7. But I don't have Compressor not DVD in FCP7. I only have those 2
softwares on a laptop in an older versioin of FCP6.

By the way, why don't you have the other FCS apps installed on your FCP 7 system?

Output is output, so if you export your sequence using the Make QuickTime Movie (⌘+e) you'll have a clip with no history. Compressor 3 (from FCS2) will treat it like any other clip. Ditto with DVD Studio Pro: all it wants is clips, source is unimportant.
