Reading list disappeared after ios6 upgrade

How do I get ipad2 reading list back after ios6 upgrade? Have tried the hard reset after deleting safari app, which worked once before, but not this time.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 6.1

Try it again, and if it doesn't work, you could try restoring from a backup. This will only work if you have a very recent backup that includes your most recent Safari History and Reading List.

I have tried the reset several times to no avail. My wife added something new to the reading list after it had been deleted. Do you think this had any effect perhaps?
