Unable to connect to the hard drive connected to the airport extreme.

I have a new Aiport extreme base station and a usb hard drive is connected to it. But mac air is not finding it. Couldn't see it in the finder.

Per chance is this USB HDD formatted in either NTFS or ExFAT? Does the AirPort Utility properly recognize this HDD?

This is formatted in NTFS. No, the Airport Utility didn't recognize the hard drive.

Unfortunately, the AirPort cannot share out a drive formatted in either NTFS or ExFat. It must be in either HFS+ or FAT32. If the AirPort Utility can't recognize the drive, it can't be shared.
