iphone 5 won't charge??

I've had an iphone 5 for a couple of months now everything was fine untill a few days ago the charger wasn't working quite right. Now the charger has totally stopped working, I have tried both charging it through my laptop and through a mains socket. Cannot get it to charge and only 2% battery left what do I do?
