iPhone 5 Problems

I updated my iPhone5 to iOS 6. Now my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard) won't recognize my iPhone (or at least iTunes music newly downloaded to my MacBook) when I try to sync new music to the phone. Secondly, my iPhone will not ring when receiving an incoming phone call. Can anyone please help?
