Is it possible to use the old Apple wireless (full keyboard, clear plastic) keyboard with an iPad Mini?

Hi everyone,

I have an iPad Mini and wanted to use my older Apple wireless keyboard with it.
I can not seem tog et it to connect. Is there any way to pair the two at all?
