Thanks for the reply, Klaus.
I just read that whole page and, to be honest, most of it flew over my head as I am not very technical. What I gathered, though, is that someone has the ability to make a page that looks identical to the one I'm trying to access, which in turn is able to infect my computer by accessing it.
So that leaves me with the question of what to do in that situation. Obviously, don't go to that page, but does that also mean I shouldn't go to that site at all? The site I encountered the warning at, thechive.com, is a massively popular and trafficked site with many sub-pages (a sub-page is where I recieved the warning).
Also I went back to one of the sub-pages where I recieved said warning to see if it would pop up again, and it didn't, so does that mean the threat is now gone?
Lastly, after having been surfing with Safari for so long and never having encountered this, why has it all of a sudden happened four times in the last two days?
Sorry to bother you with so many questions, I am just thoroughly confused right now.
Thanks again.
