My iTunes says that iOS 4.2.1 is the current version but obviously it is not... How can I get iOS 4.3? Please help!!

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

Yes it is. If you have a 2nd generation iPod touch you cannot update it.
If you have a 2nd generation iPod Touch you can not upgrade beyond 4.2.1. Check the back for model number A1288

I updated my Ipod to iOS 4.2 but I want to update it further so I can get apps that require iOS 4.3 ... When I click check for update, It says that 4.2.1 is the current version. I know this isn't true but I do not know how to get 4.3 without iTunes. Help?
