I found an ipad on a Delta flight and want to find the owner tho I don't want to turn it in to airport employees, have seen too many stories about theft.....any suggestions how I find the owner?
Give it to Delta, and report the flight you were on. The real owner probably reported the loss to Delta.
And you can sleep well knowing you are more honest than many others who find them.

TUrn it into Delta or airport security. Yes, there are always bad eggs, but unless that ipad happens to be unlocked so you can access the contacts and randomly call folks, there's not much you can do.
If you mistrust their employees, consider reporting that you found it to the airline, and instruct them to pass your contact information to its owner. That is the only way to assure yourself that it is returned to its rightful owner.
Give them the flight number, city, date, and a disposable email address.
