iPod Classic problem with iTune 11

I have several thousand songs that I've been synching with previous iTune. New iTune 11 is only able to sync few hundred songs. I saw a lot of similar complaines on the web. Does any one know if this problem has been resolved and Apple issued a updated iTune? Thanks.
