Mountain Lion ***** -- won't stay connected to wfi

Mountain Lion *****. It will NOT stay connected to wifi. I have tried everything to resolve the issue. Dropped connection every 5 minutes. Bought new $200 router with strong signal strength. Cannot use my computer for the purpose it was intended. Any ideas? Cleared pram -- everything tried.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

This is an ongoing issue that some have had with their Macs, and can be from a number of factors including software settings and environmental conditions. Here are a couple of articles that might help iron out the issue for you:

Got up at 5:30 AM determined to beat this problem. Tired of using my piece-of-**** Dell laptop and reformatting work product. Read both articles. Turned off all network services except Wifi; reordered them (inexplicably, bluetooth was first on the list); reset the router -- Voila! One hour now and the connection is stable. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I will work all day today to catch up but thank you! Goodbye, Dell.
