iPod Classic won't work!

Hello, I've had my white iPod Classic for a good 4 years now, (May 2009), and I've recently encountered a problem!

Whenever I turn on the iPod itself, it tells me to connect to power, so when I do so, it will just show an Apple logo for a few minutes, and then after a while it will show a screen telling me to restore the iPod via iTunes, which I have tried many times, only to be shown with the same Apple logo, and the same restoration error screen!

I have also tried just resetting the iPod, and again, it will just stay on the Apple logo screen, then switch to the restoration screen.

Is there anything I can do to save this Classic!
