Q: I bought a used 3rd generation iPod touch. It won't let me restore or use the iPod at all. When I try to connect and restore I get error code 21 when I do what I've seen to solve this, still nothing. So is this a lost cause?

I bought a used 3rd generation iPod touch. I tried to restore it and keeps giving me code 21. I found where others had that issue and followed what they said to do, but that didn't fix the issue. Is this a lost cause or is there something else to try? I have Windows8 and a computer with Windows7, I have tried it on both computers.
