MIDI note C2 won't cut off in Logic Pro 7.2

Hello once again,

All of a sudden, midi note C2 on my Xboard 49 won't cut off. I see this in the Transport midi display, and hear it. That note sustains forever.

BUT it is not a problem with the controller, because other programs and plug-ins do not have this behavior with this note -- only Logic Pro 7.2.

I've opened different templates, and it's the same thing. I've restarted the computer, and problem persists.

Does anyone know why?

Thanks,
Avi

Try these things...

1) KEY COMMANDS Window -- make sure that MIDI Remote is turned off (unchecked)

2) ENVIRONMENT: Clicks and Ports Layer

a) If there isn't one already, insert a MIDI Monitor object inbetween the Physical Input and the Sequencer Input icons (the Seq. Input is usually labled "to recording and thru").

b) Play that note and see if a note-off registers in the monitor. Post your results.

c) Next, remove ALL objects from the Clicks/Ports Layer of the Environment. Play C2. Does it still stick?

d) UNDO so you can put those objects back into the Environment.

Post your results! 🙂
