Ipod Classic with Lightning Connector

I really, REALLY want them to update the classic. Here's a concept someone on the internet made that perfectly describes what i want.

They have to go back to the white/black glasss look. the chrome is so ugly. I have an old 30gb video (last gen right before chrome finish) and its so much more elegant. I also think instead of the silver back, they should make a chrome back like the iphone 5.

Actual wi-fi features and apps and all that bonanza i could do without. Just a thinner ipod with better screen resolution, glass front and chrome back.

It's a year since this thread was created, but I have to agree with tt2, I too doubt that Apple will update the Classic.

Yes, the newer lightning connector and more storage would make my year. Then my iPod claissic could hold an even larger library, and would use the same chargers/data cables as my wife & daughter's iPod Touch/iPad/iPhones do! And a newer, quicker UI with the elegent classic look would rock too.

C'mon Apple, let's do this!

Nobody who might know what Apple is planning would be able to say. Personally I doubt the design will be revisited.
