I have older itunes store purchase that were purchased with an AOL ID; a few years ago some one at Apple showed me how to convert these to my regular Apple password but still using the old ID; This woked for a long time; but now itunes prompts agin

I have older itunes store purchases that began when I was an AOL member; I am no longer and Aol member. Two years ago I could no longer play songs that were purchased with the olde AOL ID but I had a new Appple ID so some purchase worked.

When I tried to play the older items it ask for ID and pasword showing the old ID but I had losy the password. SOmeone at Apple showed me how to overcome this problem and for a long time this worked. Recently I am having the old problem again,. I can't play the songs, I am promted for the password that goes with the old AOL/Apple ID. I have a lot of of investment in my library. .
