I have not seen 10.3 in some time, so this may not apply. Is there an Export command (in the File menu) in the old Address Book? If there is, export the cards to a file, then import from that file using File / Import on the new Mac. If the Macs are not networked, you can bring the exported file over some other way, e.g. a usb key.
