Add Mountain Lion "Desktop View"

I recently sat down in front of my computer - right behind a grandkid playing with it - to discover my system in LaunchPad view with 2 desktops available on the group of icons on the top of the screen.

I immediately panicked, thinking damage had been done, but was easily able to delete the "second" Desktop and all was well.

Now I realize I'd like to add a "Desktop View" for special projects. This seems easier and faster than adding a User.

I can't find anywhere in Help or Support descibing this "Creating a New Desktop View" option.

Anyone out there familiar with this?

Thanks,

JD
