Nephew recently purchased imac intel 2.0 core 2 duo--- hard drive wiped clean---
Turns on-- but hangs on loading of disk 2 for 0sx --- it has no Osx whatsoever --
Ideas?

Might try zeroing the drive one pass using Disk Utility, but what OS is this that has Discs?
That second Disc thing happens frequently, the best way around it is to do a Custom install, and eliminate enough Printer Drivers, Languages, Fonts, and Applications you don't need... then it may skip #2 altogether.

this computer has nothing on it but the install page for disk 2
there is no way to get to utilities-- my mac-- nothing that would help with further info or tinkering--
