I plugged in my 5th gen nano and itunes told me that it could not recognize it and I had to factory reset it. I factory reset it and now it won't connect to itunes. it connects to my computer and it says connected on the ipod screen, but it won't let me sync my songs to it. I have the latest version of itunes 11.0.1. I already reinstalled itunes, restarted my conputer and restarted my ipod. Is there anything else I can try?

I seen this problem a lot. Since you are a Windows user (I can make it real easy). If you don't have the side screen (left hand side)..... look at the Top Right Hand side (under the close button [red X] ).... you should see your iPod there. If it doesn't work, try to reset your entire iPod and it should connect to your iTunes......

So I uninstalled itunes 11.0.1 and reinstalled itunes 11 and it recognizes my ipod now,but I have a new problem. it won't let me sync my songs to the ipod because it says it is write protected. How do you turn off write protection?
