I woke up this morning and the camera is missing from my iphone 4s. How do I restore it? Restrictions are not on. I have turned it on and off, reset the home sceen settings, reset all settings, and synced it with iTunes. It is still gone. Please help!

There's no sign of it on the phone. When I do a search nothing comes up. When I go to settings it is no longer listed. When I go to other camera apps taking photos is no longer an option. I'm restoring my back up right now through iTunes. We'll see what happens there.
I just restored my phone and it still isn't there. 😟

If the phone is on a corporate network, I believe the network administrators can remove the function. Is that a possibility in your case?
If it isn't restricted, and the reset homescreen layout didn't fix the issue, I have two suggestions.
1. Check for the application "Camera" in spotlight. If it is there, you could launch from Spotlight.
2. It may be necessary to restore your phone to the default settings (Factory Reset) to return the application. If you do this, restoring your data via backup may cause your problem to reoccur.
I'm in Exeter, NH, not the UK. Going to the Genius Bar is my next and only choice I believe.

Just to help towards seeing what the problem is, have you tried using spotlight (the Search iPhone option if you swipe to the right as far as possible) search - type in 'camera' - does it come up then? If it does come up and work, then the problem is that your icon has disappeared. However, if it does not come up, then it has somehow been deleted which is very strange.

Ah, in that case I think that this does require a call or visit to Apple. Very strange that it was even possible to delete it.

Have your tried a reboot of your iphone (I know that you have already tried a restore)?
Hold the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button down at the same time. Keep them pressed until the screen goes dark and an Apple logo then comes up. Once in this state, release the buttons and let the phone go through its reboot.
This might sort it - fingers crossed!

I can't explain this, but it is back. I did nothing. It just reappeared sometime during my drive into work this morning. I really...do not understand.
