Q: Where did the stuff go? New Mac user

I just got my mini, and used the transfer tool, from PCM to Mac ... Now where did all hat stuff ( documents from office, ect) go.... I use the find tool... Yes, I'm lost!

Mac mini, iOS 6.1

    open finder, it is the Picasso looking icon in your dock on the far left side.

     

    if you don't see a side bar, hit option+cmd+S to show the side bar.

     

    assuming you put your documents in documents, go to the documents folder.

     

    Finder is how you navigate your files.

     

    Most apple stores have work shop classes to get you fully adjusted to your new computer and OS.

     

    Maybe a hands on expereince is better for you.

    If you used the Migration Assistant after creating the initial user account in the setup process of your mac then Migration Assistant created another user account and that is where your transferred files are.

    I think this is what happened... Where is the other user acct at... Yes, I asked!

    Go to the Apple in the top left and log out then you should be able to log in to the other user account.

    Logout of your account, you will be able to see the other one when you do.
