Sounds like a pretty simple and natural work-around.

Fair enough, removing features to steer users to new, better, ways of doing things. But saving a copy and then importing (resulting in 3 copies on your machine, in total..) is not a better way to do things, and leaving a dead feature in a menu is just plain wrong. -But I'd much rather they fixed it than removed it...!!
