Update my Ipod touch
tried to update my ipod touch thru itunes...During recovery mode got mesage: The ipod could not be restored. an unkmnown error occurred. What now???

Was "The ipod could not be restored. an unkmnown error occurred. " the complete wording of the error message?
Yes. thank you for being there? And now my ipod appears to be 'frozen ' with the image of a UBS, and an arrow pointing to itunes symbol
Oh and with message there was an error stated: (1602)
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:

i have also had this problem yet when i do it it just says restore again and i must have done it like over 15 times already
Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.
