Change time for sleep in System Preferences > Energy Saver
tried, but it still sleeps for some reason?
Without more detail there is nothing else I can say.

I set it to 'never' sleep, but it still apperared to have slept. I've just set the display not to sleep either, so let's hope that works. I needed to know because I'm downloading films and games. Appreciate your help though, Allan.
If I am doing anything that I think is critical and don't want my Mac to stop, I always set everything in Energy Saver to never plus I set Dock to never also. That seems to work for me.

Are you on battery or wall power?
Good point. I had forgotten that reason.

Download Caffeine from the Mac App Store. Whenever I am downloading anything I just turn on caffeine and it prevents the mac from sleeping.
