how can i open word document from usb to my mac book, it says Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X. I have installed microsoft office for mac already..

I think you are trying to open a .exe file instead of a document. .exe files can't run on OS X because they are Windows files

Please tell us the complete filename (with the extension)
yes it is .exe file..so what do i need to do? i have installed the microsoft office 2011 for mac already.
An .exe file is an application, not a file. If you have Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac installed then you will easily be able to open office word documents and other office files, but an .exe is an executable which is a Windows application.

.exe files are not Microsoft Office files. .xls, .doc and .ppt are the common Office file formats.
