My screen is messed up and makes me double tap everything. any suggestions?

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

However, if you only restored from backup, the backup may have the problem,

It appears you had the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:

Check: Settings - General - Accessibility - Voice Over = Off

Please note you will need to use 3 fingers to scroll to various menu items.

OK, maybe a reset will fix that. Push and hold the Home button and Sleep buttons at the same time for approximately 15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release both buttons and allow to restart normally. Try the method mentioned in my first post after the reset.
