I unchecked all birthday calendars in my iOS Calendars, but birthdays STILL appear in my Notifications Center! I DO NOT want to turn off Calendar alerts in the Notification Center, but I DON'T notifications about birthdays EITHER! Help! What should I do?

I unchecked all birthday calendars in my iOS 6 Calendars on my iPad with retina display, but birthdays STILL appear in my Notifications Center! I DO NOT want to turn off Calendar alerts in the Notification Center, but I DON'T notifications about birthdays EITHER! Help! What should I do?

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6.0.1, I do not own a desktop PC

When you "uncheck" the calendars you are not removing them or their entries from the iPad. You are simply not displaying them. It also doesn't remove them from Notifications. Anything currently on the iPad would need to be edited to prevent an alert.


I'm not sure what you mean by "all birthday calendars" but if you are using the optional Birthday field in
Contacts to do this, you can set the default alert to none (Settings app > Mail, contacts,Calendars > [scroll down to the Calendars section] Default alert Times > Birthdays)
