Hello all,

this is my first time posting here so I'll try to be as clear as possible.

I have a 27-inch iMac, Mid 2011 with the following specs:

Processor  3.4 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics  AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB

Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

and now I have bought another 27" screen (Crossover 27Q LED PC Monitor [QHD270QHD270QHD270]). I also bought a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter, so I thought I could just plug the new screen and use it.

The iMac recognises the screen, and I can see it in "Displays" as extended desktop with their native resolutions (2560 x 1440), and the new screen seems to be working (it actually works on another PC), the light is blue, and I can move the windows out of the iMac screen, but it is completely black.

I am guessing it may be a problem with the graphic, but I have no idea of how to solve it. I've downloaded the latest drivers from the official site and it's not working yet.

Could anyone please help me?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Jorge.
