iPad: Troubleshooting a cellular data connection

After downloading the latest ios version on my iPad, I no longer have a cellular connection. I tried turning it on and off, turning the cellular data off and on and removing and replacing the sim card. Cellular still does not work

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular (VZ), iOS 6.0.2
