I just downloaded iPhoto on my mac and it tells me to get started by importing a picture. So i plugged in my ipod and nothings appearing, I also dragged pictures into my iPhoto. Nothings working.

Have you checked the top of Events? I thought mine weren't importing and it turns out that the fool thing was importing them to the top of my hundreds of events instead of in correct chronological order as it used to.
#tootie - note - some fool has changed the event sort order - set it in the view menu ==> sort events - then the events will be sorted exactly the way you choose
#ginger - what version of iPhoto? what is the source of the photos on the iPod (iPhoto ony imports photos from the photo roll - not other photos on the iPod - what exactly happens when you drag a photo onto the iPhoto icon in the dock?
