When I add an appointment on my Mac in the iCloud calendar it shows up on my iPhone with a time zone Washington DC. I live in NY and have the iPhone set to that
You might want to go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into your iCloud account, click on your name, then make sure you have the correct time zone set there.
I just noticed that the Mountain time zone on my desktop icloud transfers to my phone as "phoenix". Arizona doens't not participate in Daylight Savings so this is creating an hour difference between icloud calendar and phone. I tried clicking on the Denver location in icloud but just defaults to the "Phoenix" location. I can edit time zone on the calendar but then changes in icloud. Seems to be a little glitch. Will turn out icloud sync until filxed I guess.
