iPhone does not charge.!

Hello. When I want to charge my iphone. But when i start to charge in the top right corner I see the "plug"symbol and not the lightning symbol. So the Iphone doesn´t charge only a few times i can charge it. Maybe the dock connector is broken? Or the Battery is broken? Please help me 😟
