I was using my mac book and suddenly it froze, so i turned it off. Now when i go to turn it on, nothing happens for about 2 seconds then the white light appears but the screen stays black. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What white light are you referring to?
I have a macbook air but i do not have a white light on the outside like the macbook and macbook pro's do

my macbook air has a white light at the front of it just like the macbook pro, its an earlier model i think 11 inch screen.
