can't get rid of an icon of myself

Guys,

I have a weird problem. A picture of myself that I took through my MBP (which is hedious) is showing up along with my yahoo e-mail. Whenever I send a message, the picture or icon of myself is showing up as a little picture appearing in the upper right corner of the e-mail. Strangely enough, I can't see this picture when I'm looking at it through my MBP in safari, but it appears when I see that same e-mail on my iphone safari. I've since deleted that photo on my MBP but it's still showing up through my email when I see it on the iphone through safar. Please help. This picture was one of those things that apple typically prompts you for a photo when setting up a new os. I hope you guys know what I mean. Ive look at my login users through system preferences but no user has that picture assigned.

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Charlie,

what mail program are you referring to? I don't have a mail program on my iphone (ios6) like i do on my mbp; only the yahoo and gmail that's been setup.

I've deleted all the photos that resemble that self pic in iphoto as well as photobooth. i don't have any pics in my contacts list. I got a feeling this is isolated to the iphone as i don't see any of this icon when viewing yahoo mail through the macbook.
