Restoring the anti-gravity screen feature?

How can one restore the anti-gravity feature on the 4s model?

Double tap Home button, swipe multitask-bar to the right till you see the Music icon, tap the left most icon to lock/unlock rotation.

When one switches the device from portrait to landscape the picture should automatically adapt, mine used to but stopped some months ago?
