4.2.1(8C148) IS THERE A NEWER VERSION

If you have an iPhone 3G, no. iOS 4.2.1 is the end of the line for the iPhone 3G.

I just posted a question about the same thing he person posted whom you responded to. Is it true that there is no poosible update to this phone? I have the same phone Iphone 3 4.2.1 (8C148) I really need to install a few basic applications but am unable to do so.

If you need to upgrade to a newer version of iOS then you need a newer iPhone.

Well the iPhone 3 is 6 years old which is very old for technology.

I'm so disappointed that there isn't a current update available for the iphone 3G. I've become very attached too mine, I've got so many good memories that has made this version a favorite, that I actually can't let it go right now. So can you please tell me how too update to the 4.2.1 version. I'd like too give this too my young son too encourage learning with some of the educational APPs. Thank you so much!
