I am unable to send emails to hotmail accounts

I am unable to send emails to hotmail accounts from my MacBook pro but CAN do so from my servers webmail service to these same addresses. I can receive from these email accounts and no problem sending to all other email addresses. Can anyone help?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
