Q: started transfer last night. went to bed and imac was copying music. woke up, same message with same time frame remaining. what do i do now??

New imac. Began transfer process last night. imac said "transferring you information" said i had approx 6 hours and 23 min remaining for music transfer. When I woke this morning, page still said exact same thing. What should my next step be?

How? Many missing etails. On first boot, from what? How connected? See Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.
